Waiting for Surgery

It's getting to that time...I am preparing for my sinus surgery on Friday. Tomorrow I register at the Summerlin Hospital and take my final blood tests. Cris will take me to the hosp on Friday at 11am for a 1pm surgery.

Graduate In The House

Cris just found out that he is a graduate of CSN (College of Southern Nevada)! He is so excited and motivated now to get into UNLV and finish his degree in History. An AA had seemed so far away, but really it was just around the corner...which is how we are looking at his BA now. :) In a little over a year from now, we will be applying to Law Schools around the country hoping for the best. Although, secretly we want to go through Law School in San Diego because that is where we want to eventually live, so it just makes sense to make contacts before he is out of school.

The other exciting thing that happened last week is that Cris' English professor told him that his research paper is so good (and with a little bit of fine tuning), he should get it published (and the prof will help him do so)!! I am so proud of my hubby!! :) So in the next months, we can hopefully say that Cris is a published writer...

Other than that we have both been getting ready for next year's school year/semester to start by spending a ton of money on books, school supplies, classes, etc. YUCK!! But soon enough we will be starting a new year with new experiences and new faces :) GO REBELS!

Temple Cleaning

This week we volunteered to clean the temple from 6-10pm. We loved it!! Even though the temple is shut down for cleaning, you can still feel the spirit. It was an amazing experience to serve the Lord in that capacity. We also came to the conclusion that we will be trying to serve in the temple as ordinance workers every other Saturday. Wish us luck!!

Mandy's B-Day Party

Today we went to Mandy's b-day party. It was a blast because of the Princess Castle jumper, Snowie machine, Popcorn maker, and Cotton Candy machine. And also because all the family and friends!! :) Happy 6th birthday, Mandy! Soon enough, school will be out for both of us (Jen - Aug. 10th, Cris - July 27th) and we will be travelling to California for Magic Mountain fun in August!!
